Crown House B&B opened it's hospitality doors in April 2015, after getting our home rezoned to accommodate the Bed and Breakfast business, food safety training, registering our business and getting listed with on-line travel agencies.

We offer two rooms for guests, each with a very comfortable queen bed, a smart television, and ensuite washroom. Our breakfasts are always a pleasure with guests as they enjoy a tasty prepared meal that rivals great restaurant fare. We are able to accommodate vegan, gluten free and other dietary restrictions.

During 2020 we had a salt water swim spa installed in our fully fenced in back yard and made it available to our paying guests. The spa is covered with a mechanical cover that raises and lowers via a key, no heavy lifting involved.

We have a few mobility assist items like a stair lift, and grab bars in the the showers. There are no steps to the front door.

We offer free WiFI, and onsite parking (including EV charging). We are walking distance to the public boat launch (across the street), public swimming in the Cowichan River (Duck Pond - a six minute walk), and the quaint downtown of Lake Cowichan (a 3 minute drive or an 11 minute walk to Jakes on the Lake restaurant - other venues will differ in times).

Our location is at 207 North Shore Road in Lake Cowichan, discoverable with Google Maps or Apple Maps.

At Crown House B&B we have two species of Hummingbirds visiting us for their nectar water. The year round and most common visitor is the Anna's Hummingbird the larger of the two, with a green body, and other is less common, frequenting during the summer months , the  Rufous Hummingbird. You likely may see only one or two as hummingbirds are very territorial and will guard their territory against others. You may see one hummingbird defending their feeder by swooping in and chasing off the new comer.

The Pacific Marine Circle Route offers a one or two day trip through scenic lower Vancouver Island ending back where you started from (usually Victoria.) The entire route is now paved (though not all smooth and luxurious), and can be enjoyed with bicycle, automobile or motorcycle. There are ample opportunities  to stop and enjoy many beaches, parks, restaurants, and other points of interest along the way. Take your time, explore and enjoy.
